United States Government Will Provide Air Defense Weapons to Ukraine
On November 23, 2022, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the US government will supply Ukraine with air defense equipment and munitions as part of a military aid package valued at roughly $400 million.
Per the statement, the package features “additional arms, munitions, and air defense equipment from US Department of Defense inventories.”
This new aid package will bring the US government’s military aid to Ukraine to roughly $19.7 billion, since Joe Biden was installed in office.
“The artillery ammunition, precision fires, air defense missiles, and tactical vehicles that we are providing will best serve Ukraine on the battlefield,” Blinken stated.
The US Secretary of State stressed that the US “will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes, so it can continue to defend itself and be in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table when the time comes.”
Per a statement from the White House, Biden gave Blinken the authority “to direct the drawdown of up to $400 million in defense articles and services of the Department of Defense, and military education and training, to provide assistance to Ukraine.”
In a separate statement made on November 23, Biden reiterated the US government’s steadfast commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“This month, we remember the victims of the Holodomor. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Biden proclaimed.
It appears that the DC Swamp is not holding back its support for Ukraine anytime soon. This will only result in further loss of life in Ukraine and a potential for heightened escalation with a nuclear power in Russia. A frightening scenario to say the least.
In a much saner timeline, the US would be focusing its national security resources on securing the Southern border while cooperating with Mexico and Central American nations to contain mass migration in the Western Hemisphere. Alas, we live in a Clown World timeline where politicians are more fixated with ideological crusades that don’t advance any meaningful national interests.
