United States State Department Arabic Spokesperson Steps Down Over Biden Regime’s Gaza Policy
Towards the end of April, Hala Rharritt, the Arabic language spokesperson of the United States State Department resigned, She alluded to her opposition to the Biden regime’s policy connected to the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
Hala Rharrit also served as the Dubai Regional Media Hub’s deputy director. She joined the State Department nearly two decades ago as a political and human rights officer.
“I resigned April 2024 after 18 years of distinguished service in opposition to the United States’ Gaza policy,” she posted on the social media website LinkedIn.
This is the third high-profile resignation that has occurred in the State Department over the last 6 months. Annelle Sheline of the State Department’s human rights bureau announced her decision to step down in March, and State Department official Josh Paul previously resigned in October.
A senior official in the Department of Education, Tariq Habash, who is Palestinian-American, resigned in January.
The Biden regime has received increasing degrees of criticism internationally from human rights organizations over its support for Israel as Israel’s current punitive campaign in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians and has generated a humanitarian crisis.
As casualties mount in this conflict, several members of the Biden regime have begun to oppose the US’s decision to supply arms and diplomatic support to Israel as this conflict rages on.
Back In November, over 1,000 official in the US Agency for International Development (USAID) signed an open letter demanding an immediate ceasefire. Cables criticizing the Biden regime’s Israel policy were also submitted to the State Department’s internal “dissent channel.”
The Israeli conflict had also provoked a massive backlash in the US as anti-war protestors have swamped university campuses nationwide.
The Biden regime’s support of Israel’s brutal military campaign against Gaza has been appalling to say the least.
Sadly, Republicans have only been just as if not even more hawkish than their Democrat counterparts.
On this occasion, America First nationalists can differentiate themselves by promoting a foreign policy of non-interventionism and restraint when the ruling class is firmly behind Israel’s ghastly ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza.
