UPDATE: Jimmy Kimmel Boycott Reaches More Than Triple Its Goal
They have more than doubled their petition goal.

As reported by Big League Politics yesterday, a public boycott of Jimmy Kimmel’s show reached 30,000 petition signatures. But just 24 hours after that article was released, the number has gone up to over 150,000 petition signatures, which is more than double their goal of 50,000 signatures.
If you would like to read the petition in its entirety, or sign it, you can reach it through this link.
As was reported yesterday, the boycott began after Kimmel insulted Melania Trump for her part in the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Kimmel tried to insinuate that the First Lady was trying to escape from the White House, and insulted her accent as she was reading a children’s book.

This boycott is making it clear that a large segment of the population stand with the First Family.

eBay BANS Six Dr. Seuss Books That Will No Longer Be Published Due to “Racist Images”
This is getting completely out of hand.

The hysteria continues: eBay has banned the reselling of six Dr. Seuss books that will no longer be published due to “racist imagery,” saying that these listings now violate their policies.
eBay had emailed people who put the books up for sale early Thursday morning. With a subject line titled “Your listing was removed: Offensive material policy,” eBay’s email reads as follows:
“We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Offensive material policy. Listings that promote or glorify hatred, violence, or discrimination aren’t allowed.
“Dr. Seuss Enterprises has stopped publication of this book due to its negative portrayal of some ethnicities. As a courtesy, we have ended your item and refunded your selling fees, and as long as you do not relist the item, there will be no negative impact to your account. Please review our Offensive Materials Policy prohibits this item for more information [sic].
“You can’t relist items we’ve ended. Please ensure your current and future listings follow this policy.”
Example screenshot below:
The six books that Dr. Seuss Enterprises said they would no longer publish include And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer.
Big League Politics reported Tuesday that a school district in northern Virginia stopped celebrating Dr. Seuss on Read Across America Day because of the “racial undertones” of such books. Although the district said they would not ban Dr. Seuss books from their libraries and classrooms, there’s no doubt they’ll consider removing the six books now considered irredeemably racist.
eBay is probably the first domino to fall. Expect Amazon and others to follow suit.
