Various Critics Slam Biden’s ‘Ministry Of Truth,’ Leftists Included

America’s new “Ministry of Truth” has been brought to you by you our great friends of the Joe Biden regime! Various Americans across the nation have slammed the Biden administration after their announcement that a United States Department of Homeland Security-led “Disinformation Governance Board” is being established in order to monitor and combat what the powers-that-be consider to be “disinformation” as the 2022 midterms approach.

The initiative in question was announced during a testimony Wednesday by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about the creation of the Disinformation Governance Board. Mayorkas’ announcement was made just days after Tesla CEO Elon Musk moved to fully purchase and acquire Twitter.

“The goal is to bring the resources of (DHS) together to address this threat,” Mayorkas said. Fox News reported that the DHS spokesman also made a point to note that the department has a specific concentration on mitigating the spread of disinformation in ‘minority’ communities.

Commentary that flamed the Biden regime and DHS alike for their seemingly Orwellian actions came in quick. Most critics of the “disinformation” initiative unsurprisingly were right-wing. However, there were some notable exceptions, including former Hawaii Democrat congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard during an appearance on “Hannity.”

“This is the kind of thing that you see in dictatorships, this ministry of truth, this department of propaganda that the Biden administration has just stood up,” Gabbard said during the show. “And the reason why you see this in dictatorships is because they’re afraid of us, they’re afraid of the people. They’re afraid that we might actually think for ourselves. And so, now, they’ve created this body that will do two things. Number one, we’ll use taxpayer dollars to work through the mainstream media and flood the airwaves with whatever their propaganda narrative is that they’re pushing at any given time and try to drown out anyone with alternate views.”

Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley had a similarly strong view on the matter, referring to the board as a “disgrace” before banally concluding that the Biden regime must “dissolve this monstrosity immediately.”

“Is there anything more dystopian than a Disinformation Governance Board run by the federal government?” Florida Republican congressional candidate Dr. Willie J. Montague posted in an online question before later adding that the board members are “Orwellian.”

“They didn’t need a ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ until @elonmusk threatened their control over the narrative,” posted Texas Republican Congressman Troy Nehls.

“The libs spent the last weeks planting the seeds for the back-up plan in case the Twitter deal actually happened,” Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert wrote on Twitter. “Today’s news of a Biden backed ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ is dystopian. They can’t afford to let the truth be anything but what they say.”

Fox News reported that the DHS has yet to respond to comment on the matter.
