Tuesday, a U.S. Senator and 2020 presidential candidate took a veiled swipe at a Senate colleague who she will be battling during the Democratic Party primary.
“I will just speak for myself. I’m not a socialist, I’m a Democrat. I’m proud of that,” Klobuchar told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC.
Mitchell cited a poll showing that Americans did not view the term “socialist” in a positive light. She asked Klobuchar if that would be a problem for Sanders.
“You know, you should talk to Bernie about that. He and I have worked together on a number of issues including these prescription drug issues that I just brought on,” she said.
