Virginia Democrat Ibraheem Samirah’s Opponent Calls For Him To Address Anti-Semitic Posts

Ibraheem Samirah, the Democrat nominee in Virginia’s 86th District House of Delegates race, continues to hide from controversy after Big League Politics exposed his long record of anti-semitic and anti-Israel posts.

Now, Samirah’s Republican opponent Gregg Nelson, an Air Force veteran, is calling for Samirah to address the issue as we approach the February 19th election.

“There is never a place for any hateful speech whether it’s in politics or daily life. Dr. Samirah owes it to the voters of District 86 to address his statement that sending money to Israel is “worse” than sending money to the KKK. The people of the 86th District look forward to hearing his response,” Nelson’s campaign manager Chad Brown stated.

BLP reported:

Still live on the Facebook page of Democratic candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates Ibraheem S. Samirah are three anti-Semitic posts from several years ago, despite Big League Politics’ Thursday reporting exposing his racism.

In one of his posts, he compared Israelis to the KKK.

“Ariel Sharon, burn. Burn a million times for every innocent soul you killed. Hell is excited to have you,” he said in another post. (Archived here)

“Most Israeli teenagers not only want to cover up the murders in their name, but they have younf urges that need to be released somehow,” he said in another. “Tinder’s perfect for that.” (Archived here)

Big League Politics reported yesterday:

Ibraheem Samirah is the Democratic nominee for Virginia House of Delegates in the 86th District. His election takes place later this month, on February 19th. Samirah is up against U.S. Airforce veteran Gregg Nelson in the special election.

Samirah is also a rabid Israel hater who speaks of the “Israeli occupation” and recently vowed to “avenge” the deaths of Egyptian protesters, according to his own social media posts, which have been provided to Big League Politics.

Tim Hannigan, chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee, urged Samirah to explain his anti-Semitism, or to drop out of the race completely.

Naturally, Samirah’s official Twitter account describes him as a “progressive.”

“Dentist, community organizer, Muslim American and progressive Democratic candidate for the House of Delegates in Virginia’s 86th district!” his bio says.

So far, Samirah has not commented on the issue.
