Virginia Democrats Use State Police to Kick Public Out of Room After Passing ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban in House Committee

After passing an unconstitutional “assault rifle” ban through a House committee, the Virginia state delegation forced onlookers to leave the committee under threat of arrest, essentially stripping them of their 1st Amendment right to petition the government.

The shocking video of law enforcement stomping on the free speech of the people in attendance during the committee hearing can be seen here:

Virginia House Bill 961 would effectively ban semi-automatic weapons as well as suppressors and magazines. The House Public Safety Committee only gave the dozens of activists who showed up for the vote Friday morning a combined total of five minutes to speak, according to the NRA-ILA.

“Though the committee amended the bill to allow citizens to keep affected firearms and suppressors they lawfully owned prior to the ban, confiscation is undoubtedly still the end goal of Michael Bloomberg and he will continue to work toward this end. There is no option for citizens to keep their lawfully acquired magazines with capacities greater than twelve rounds, forcing millions of Virginians to dispose of their property, become a felon, or surrender it to the government,” the NRA-ILA wrote.

The committee passed the legislation by a 12-9 vote that fell on party lines, with all Democrats in support and all Republicans in opposition. It will now be considered by the full state delegation in the days to come.

The Labiosa Liberty PAC posted the official livestream on Facebook showing Chairman Patrick Hope of Arlington making the signal for enraged pro-constitution attendees to be removed from the committee room. The livestream goes dead while the individuals are being stripped of their rights and removed, then resumes after they are gone.

“According to those in the room, Virginia State Police formed a riot line between the public and the committee and gave the public 30 seconds to leave or be arrested. Shortly after the room was cleared the committee came back into session with an empty chamber to consider additional gun control measures,” Labiosa Liberty PAC wrote.

Following the peaceful gun march on the Virginia Capitol last month, the state legislature has ramrodded through many intolerable acts of gun control. They were completely undaunted and laughed off the messages of peace, love and inclusivity from the pro-2nd Amendment protesters at that event.

Meanwhile, pro-gun protesters in Kentucky are sending a different message to their lawmakers:

Gun owners in Kentucky made a bold stand for freedom on Friday when they converged on their state Capitol building in Frankfort.

While Virginia Governor Ralph “Blackface” Northam made the area around his state Capitol a 2nd Amendment-free zone, the patriots of Kentucky actually entered the Capitol building with their firearms, which resulted in some iconic and inspiring photographs.

The Louisville Courier Journal reported on the successful rally of constitutionalists who are making it clear that their rights will be infringed upon no more…

The gun owners are vigilant regarding infringements on the 2nd Amendment that have been introduced in the state legislature. New Democrat Governor Andy Beshear is on the record stating that he supports red flag gun confiscation, and the constitutional activists are steadfastly dedicated to not letting that happen.

“We’re watching,” said Tony Wheatley, a leader of the group We Are KY Gun Owners. “Not only for the gun issues but for all constitutional issues that come up.”

“It’s kind of like the Declaration of Independence — it was basically a letter to the king saying we’re tired of what you’re trying to feed us,” Wheatley added. “Same thing here. It’s symbolic. We’re listening. We want changes.”

The free men of Kentucky are making a statement that they will not let their state become like Virginia, where Democrats have taken over and made a complete mockery of the Bill of Rights.

It has become clear that additional action other than just peaceful protests and smiling photo ops will be needed for Virginians to reclaim their lost freedoms.
