Le Pen Makes It Into Runoff

French populist nationalist candidate Marine Le Pen advanced to the final round of the French presidential election Sunday after finishing a close second in the first round of voting. Le Pen is a champion for the policies that could bring about the death of the European Union, according to Brexit figurehead Nigel Farage and others.

Le Pen’s nationalist policies — similar to President Donald Trump’s — put her in league with Farage, Geert Wilders of the Netherlands, and rising-star Rome mayor Virginia Raggi.
