WATCH: Beto Double Down on His Support for 40-Week Abortions

Published

Democratic Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke doubled down on his support for late-term abortions.

Sticking to his hands-off approach after being questioned for the second time if he supports late-term abortions, Beto quickly avoided answering the question. At an earlier campaign event in Cleveland, Beto was asked if he supported third-trimester abortions. He responded with a vague “I trust her” answer.

He attempted to back up that opinion at Penn State when he was asked if “a woman’s right to choose” included abortion up to the third-trimester. Naturally, he spun his way out of the question. “I think those decisions are best left to a woman and her doctor,” he said.

North Carolina Congressional Hopeful Madison Cawthorn Demands ‘New Republican Party’ Shifting to the Left on Healthcare, Environment, Race Issues

Cawthorn wants to adopt leftist measures to win over Generation Z.

Published

Madison Cawthorn, who is the Republican U.S. Rep. candidate for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, is calling for a “new Republican Party” that pays lip service to issues that are important to leftists.

“The status quo days of the GOP being defined by what we are against, rather than what we are for, are over. We intend to listen, but we also intend to win the argument,” he wrote in his op/ed for the Daily Wire.

Instead of opposing left-wing policies, Cawthorn wants Republicans to capitulate and give concessions to the Left in order to placate to young people in Generation Z who overwhelmingly support leftist politics.

“For the past two decades, however, the Republican Party has marginalized principled reformers in its own ranks and let itself be branded as the “party of no.” On things such as health care, the environment, and other key issues, our leadership has aggressively attacked ideas from the Left but has failed to force consensus around the best ideas from the Right,” Cawthorn wrote.

“Our party, the Grand Old Party, is no longer very grand. But it is very old. Our leaders have failed us and it’s time we stopped putting up with it,” he added.

He wants Republicans to embrace government solutions on issues like healthcare and the environment while echoing woke talking points with regards to race.

“Our party ought not to be ashamed of its heritage nor be afraid of open debate and challenging the “woke” left. On race, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is right and wise to remind conservatives that unjust racial bias is real and persistent. As Scott, who is black, notes, he knows what it’s like to be pulled over to be stopped by security in the Capitol because of the color of his skin. We’ve come a long way, but Scott is right to remind Republicans that we have a long way to go,” Cawthorne wrote.

He also added a thinly-veiled shot as President Donald Trump, which is par for the course considering he is being published in ‘Never Trump’ icon Ben Shapiro’s blog.

“Let us rise as a New Republican Party. A party that offers real solutions and attacks ideas rather than individuals. A party that meets voters where they are, and instead of belittling them for what they care about, offers a better way,” Cawthorne wrote.

“We also must be the party of youth that can win the hearts and minds of young patriots with clear, compelling, and common-sense policies that put people first and politics second. This is the New Republican Party. This is the New Town Square. We were created for such a time as this,” he concluded.

Cawthorne’s milquetoast brand of Republicanism that appeases left-wing extremists at war with America is a direct rebuke to President Trump’s strong “America First” message. He is echoing Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) by essentially surrendering to the Left.

Big League Politics has reported on how Crenshaw has capitulated on issues like gun control and climate change in order to appease the Left:

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) recently came out of the closet, outing himself as a so-called “rational environmentalist” in a Facebook video repeating leftist talking points about the evil of carbon emissions.

“I’m an environmentalist. And I know climate change is real,” Crenshaw said to open his video.

“I’m also rational – and I know that wasting your tax dollars on crazy Green New Deals will put millions out of work and drastically increase your electric bill and your taxes,” he added.

Crenshaw is trying to stake out a middle ground in which he cedes some ground to the Left in order to get in the so-called “national discussion” on environmental policy. This is a rehash of the weak brand of compassionate Republicanism that resulted in eight years of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House.

He claims that his plan is to “make America the world leader in clean energy” by reducing carbon emissions.

“I’m Dan Crenshaw, and I approve this message because if we come together, we can put America on the path to a new energy frontier,” he said to conclude his video.

The full Facebook video can be seen here.

Cawthorn will join Crenshaw in Congress to subvert President Trump’s influence on the GOP. He seems to be another wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing RINO plotting against the MAGA revival.
