WATCH: Eric Holder Fans The Flames Of Anti-GOP Violence Saying, ‘When They Go Low, We Kick Them.”

During a campaign event for Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams this week, Former Attorney General Eric Holder said when Republicans “go low,” Democrats should “kick them.”

“It’s on us as Democrats to be as tough as they are, to be as dedicated as they are, to be as committed as they are,” Holder said. “Michelle always says — Michelle Obama, I love her … she always says that, you know, when they go low, we go high.”

“No,” Holder declared. “When they go low, we kick them.”

The crowd clapped, laughing and cheering in response.

“That’s what this new Democratic Party is about,” Holder said. “We’re proud as hell to be Democrats, we’re going to fight for the ideals of the Democratic Party … we’re in this to win.”

Holder, who has mentioned his interest in a possible 2020 White House bid, went on to say that Republicans have used their power “for all the wrong things.”

“They’ve tried to racial gerrymander, they’ve tried to partisan gerrymander. … They want to keep themselves in power. They want to cater to the special interests,” Holder said.

“We’re in this to win,” he added. “And the reality is if we don’t win, people who are less committed, less idealistic, less imbued with the values that make this nation really great, will run this country.”

Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky expressed his concerns over the potential for charged political rhetoric that may spark violence in the nation after Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) recommended that Americans “get up in the face” of any politicians they disagree with.

“I really worry that someone is going to be killed and that those who are ratcheting up the conversation . . . they have to realize that they bear some responsibility if this elevates to violence,” Paul told a Kentucky radio station.

Twitter user Cocaine Mitch™ (@MitchellCocaine) posted the short clip, saying:

“Former Obama AG Eric Holder says “when they [GOP] go low, we KICK them” The audience reacts with chants “fight! fight! fight!” Way to help reduce the violent rhetoric. A reminder Cory Gardner’s wife received beheading video on her phone and Rand Paul’s wife sleeps with a gun.”

Cocaine Mitch™ (@MitchellCocaine) also posted a small reminder of who it is we’re dealing with here:

“Maxine Watters: “You tell them they are not welcome anywhere” Cory Booker: “Get up in the face of some congress people” Hillary Clinton: “Civility can start again when we take back congress” Eric Holder “When they go low we kick them” VOTE. Your life depends on it.”

Holder’s comments surfaced just one day after Hillary Clinton rejected any idea of civility between Republicans and Democrats, saying that “you cannot be civil with” the Republican Party because it “wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.”

“If we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength,” Clinton said in an interview with CNN.
