A freshman Congresswoman had some strong words for the Commander in Chief when a reporter caught her in the halls of Congress and asked if she thought President Donald J. Trump was the same as President Barack H. Obama.
“Absolutely not,” said Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). That’s sill to even think, and equate the two. One is human, one is not.”
Omar found herself in hot water – not for more anti-Semitism, which has been a staple of her young career as a lawmaker – but for appearing to her fellow Democrats to be soft on Trump. In fact, the Democratic Party was more outraged when Omar drew a comparison between the foreign and domestic policies of the pair of presidents, accusing Obama of “caging kids” and the “droning of countries around the world,” both of which Obama did, than it was about her rampant Jew hatred.
Technically, Omar did not say which president she thought was human, but in this case it is safe to assume that the vitriolic congresswoman lashing out at Trump.
