WATCH: Patriotic Sheriff Declares He Will Not Enforce ‘Unconstitutional’ Gun Confiscation at Virginia Capitol

In 2020, Virginia’s annual “Lobby Day” was much bigger than previous years.

On January 20, 2020, thousands of Second Amendment demonstrators peacefully assembled around the Virginia state capitol in Richmond, Virginia. This event was held in protest of the Virginia Democrats anti-gun which promises to put forward red flag gun confiscation laws, handgun purchase limits, universal background checks, and assault weapons bans, among other gun control legislation.

In response to the threats that a Democrat-controlled government poses, Virginia gun owners have created Second Amendment sanctuary cities, which have involved both cities and counties passing resolutions protesting potential gun grabs.

Certain sheriffs have voiced their opposition to incoming gun grabs from the Virginia legislature.

In a video posted on Twitter, Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan declared he will not enforce new gun control measures:

Vaughan stated, “If the bills go through as proposed, they will not be enforced. They are unconstitutional.”

The stakes are high in America’s first colony.

The Second Amendment is a fixture of the historic American nation, which reflects a multi-century tradition of lawful gun ownership that continues to this very day.

Hopefully, this will be a major catalyst for law-abiding Virginias to go out and defeat all gun control coming out of the General Assembly.
