White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake Wednesday.

In response to Flake’s condemnation of President Trump’s “treason” joke about Democrat lawmakers, Huckabee Sanders scored bigly.

“I don’t really care what Senator Flake has to say. I don’t think his constituents do either. That’s why his numbers are in the tank,” Huckabee Sanders said.

President Trump made a joke at his speech in Ohio this week, where he addressed his base of blue-collar factory workers.

“They were like death and un-American. Un-American. Somebody said, ‘Treasonous.’ I mean, yeah, I guess, why not,” Trump stated, referring to Democrats who sat throughout the State of the Union, refusing to applaud for such things as rising wages, success in the fight against ISIS, and gains in employment.

Flake, the NeverTrumper, recently decided not to run for re-election this year in Arizona, with his approval rating tanking and with fierce opposition from America First challenger Dr. Kelli Ward.
