A video is circling the web in which a Swedish reporter asks people on the street whether they’d take in a refugee, to which most reply affirmatively – until they are presented with an actual refugee.
The point of the video is obvious. It proves that the political left is virtue signaling about its supposed moral superiority. But when faced with a situation in which they could actually be morally superior, they don’t take action.
Some of the excuses for not taking in the refugee presented to them include:
- It would be difficult
- I don’t have the space
- I sublease my apartment
- I’m busy today
- I have other people at home
It’s almost as though leftists publicly support refugeeism for fear of being shamed by other leftists.
😂😂 This is superb. Loads of virtue-signalling Swedes say they’d take in refugees, then make excuses when the interviewer produces a refugee looking for a house to live in. pic.twitter.com/KI83uutVVd
