Watch: Tom Steyer’s SuperPAC Runs Hilariously Tone Deaf Anti-GOP Ad

NextGen America, billionaire hedgefund manager Tom Steyer’s SuperPAC, ran what it thought was a cutesy anti-GOP ad that turned out to be a hilariously cringe-worthy 57 seconds of leftist lunacy.

WATCH:

The theme of the ad is Mother’s Day, and features a middle-aged woman reminiscing to herself about her son, who is away at college.

“I started noticing some issues with him maybe in middle school,” she says with a soft piano playing sadly in the background. “The stealing started out small – A few dollars here and there. Not from me, oddly enough, but from less fortunate kids.”

You can see where this is going.

“He was never afraid to talk to girls, but things never really worked out for some reason,” she continues. “I worried when he went off to college. But he came home often. I guess he never learned to do his own laundry.”

“It wasn’t until I met his college buddies that I realized it might be too late,” she says. “Only a mother can catch the signs early. This Mother’s Day, talk to your son about the GOP. I wish I had.”

The ad ends with the disappointed mother taking a large swig of a martini.

Could the Democrats be any less relatable or funny? Let’s break the ad down to see where NextGen went wrong.

First, the “sad mom” says that her sweet little boy was a middle school thief, stealing from the less fortunate. The implication, of course, is that capitalist Republican businesspeople do the same, which is the classic line that socialist morons use to justify their inadequacy after graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Queer Bible Theory. But Tom Steyer is not dumb. He is one of the most successful capitalists on planet earth. He knows that capitalist Republicans create wealth and employee people, thereby making them richer. So the first segment of the ad is complete nonsense that would only get a chuckle out of the heavily sedated.

Next, “sad mom” makes the implication that her son has problems keeping women around. But if anyone has trouble in relationships, it’s leftists. Before pursuing a mate they have to choose from 56 genders. Once that confusion is cleared up, only then can they try to find a steady relationship. The results have not been great. The left has killed traditional relationships through sexual liberation.

Then, she says that his buddies influenced her sons Republicanism to the point of no return – on a college campus. As a veteran of academia, I’m wondering which school her son attended. My experience in higher education was fraught with blue-haired lesbians screeching about the non-existent gender wage gap. There isn’t a single campus on earth that could be construed to be pushing conservative values. Yet “sad mom’s” son went away to school and somehow managed to find a bastion of conservatism?

The ad ends with a smug reference to “catching warning signs” as if conservatism is a vice or disease that needs to monitored before it spirals out of control. Nothing screams “free thought” like stifling the young people from thinking for themselves.

The left already can’t meme. They are not much better at making political ads.
