WH Delivers Weak And Pathetic Response After China Threatens To Shoot Down Pelosi’s Plane
Communist China threatened to shoot down House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plane if she tires to visit Taiwan.
Hu Xijin, the editor of China’s jingoistic state-run Global Times, had this to say on Twitter about the potential stop during the 82-year-old lawmaker’s Asia trip:
“If US fighter jets escort Pelosi’s plane into Taiwan, it is invasion,” Hu said. “The PLA has the right to forcibly dispel Pelosi’s plane and the US fighter jets, including firing warning shots and making tactical movement of obstruction. If ineffective, then shoot them down.”

Though it is unclear whether Pelosi and her team will be going to Taiwan or not, propagandist Xijinthis has undoubtedly crossed the line with his comments. So much so that this story deserves bipartisan support from all Americans. We were just publicly threatened by a foreign government.
Like Pelosi or not, this is not the way China should be talking to our leaders.
With that said, this trend is not new. China has been taunting and toeing the line for what they say and can get away with more and more under Joe Biden’s leadership.
For example, Chinese President Xi Jinping recently said “those who play with fire will only get burnt” to President Biden regarding the Pelosi Taiwan trip during a more than two-hour call together.
Then the Chinese claimed Biden and his team lied about what was discussed during that call between each other, thus issuing another stark warning against Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan.
Fortunately, Twitter was filled with various voices from both sides of the political aisle coming together against Xijinthis and the Chinese government’s threat against the House Speaker.
Some even called on Twitter to take down the tweet from China’s chief mouthpiece because it “literally threatens the life of an elected official.” At the time of this writing, Twitter has not done anything yet.

“I don’t care how awful our congresspeople are,” wrote one user. “If a foreign power hurts even one hair on that evil witch’s head, I hope we utterly destroy them, and I hope it hurts the entire time we’re doing it.

Sadly, those Twitter user examples are saying more about the US Speaker of the House being threatened by the CCP than the White House is.
Watch Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s weak response when asked about the situation by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy.
Unbelievable: Karine Jean-Pierre says the White House won't respond to Chinese state media threats to shoot down Nancy Pelosi's plane should she visit Taiwan.
"We're just not going to speak on her schedule."
Abject, embarrassing weakness. pic.twitter.com/4Biw7DsqBr

Of course, nothing about this response from the WH displays strength. Nor does it show that the Biden administration is taking China’s threat against an American seriously.
While Pelosi’s trip itinerary may not be confirmed yet and could constitute as “hypothetical” as Jean-Pierre explained. The CCP’s threat most definitely is serious and should be accompanied by clear consequences for what will happen to China if they act on their vile claim.
