White House Complains Of Escalating Rhetoric After Biden Called MAGA Republicans “Semi-Fascist’

Now the left is complaining about inflammatory rhetoric? Did they forget what happened to the MAGA hat-wearing Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann?

These complaints came out of the White House shortly after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called Dr. Anthony Fauci a “little elf,” and joked about “chuck[ing] him across the Potomac.”

“You have people like Fauci saying that his lockdowns didn’t cause any permanent damage to any young kids. I got news for you. It did, and we are going to reap those rewards across the whole country for years and years and years because they treated kids so poorly,” DeSantis said during a recent speech in Florida’s Seminole County.

“And I’m just sick of seeing him. I know he says he’s going to retire. Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac,” the governor said when speaking on Fauci’s claims that nobody was “irreparably damag[ed]” by the lockdowns.

Complaints of Republican rhetoric were made by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre after a reporter asked the following during Wednesday’s press briefing:

“We’ve heard many Republicans argue that this President ran as a uniter and now he’s calling MAGA Republicans, which is a very large swath of the American populace, semi-fascists.  He is arguing that they’re a threat to democracy.  Does the White House believe that this is a fair criticism by Republicans that this is not unifying language?”

“You have Representative Paul Gosar has posted videos depicting him attacking the President and members of Congress,” Pierre said in her response. “You have Representative Majority [sic] Tay- — Marjorie Taylor Greene has publicly expressed support for shooting prominent Democratic elected officials and suggesting physically assaulting transgender school officials.”

“You have Representative Madison Cawthorn has said, falsely, ‘If our election systems continue to be rigged and continue to be stolen, then it’s going to lead to one place, and that’s bloodshed,’” continued the press secretary before she pointed to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

“And just last week, you had Governor Ron DeSantis suggested that Dr. Fauci should be physically assaulted. And former President Trump has done the same many, many times,” claimed Jean-Pierre.

DeSantis campaign spokeman Dave Abrams issued a response to Jean-Pierre’s rant, countering that Biden and Fauci’s policies of locking people in their homes away from work and keeping children out of school “are the physical assaults they ought to be talking about from the podium.”

These words by Jean-Pierre come just days after Joe Biden said that the ‘Make America Great Again’ movement is one rooted in fascism.

“It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something — it’s like semi-fascism,” said Biden when he spoke on the “extreme MAGA philosophy” that supposedly drives the GOP.
