White House Has ‘No Timeline’ On End of Baby Formula Shortage As Illegals Get Benefits

Are more food shortages coming to a nation near you? Our friends at the White House sure seem to think so — or maybe they just don’t know. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre weighed in on the matter, telling reporters on Sunday that the Biden administration has no idea when parents can expect to see baby formula shortages come to an end after they invoked the Defense Production Act (DPA) last week in an attempt to address the nationwide shortage.

Fox News reported that during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One en route to Tokyo for Biden’s meeting with the “Quad” alliance, a reporter asked Jean-Pierre when worried United States parents  “who are trying to get baby formula” will finally be able to feed their hungry and suffering infants.

“Look, you know, the President — you know, you’ve heard us say this: The President understands the struggle of moms and dads and parents and caregivers and making sure that — you know, making sure that we get — a child has, you know, a healthy — a healthy — a healthy way of eating,” Jean-Pierre answered, according to a White House transcript. “A healthy formula is — and safe — and safe formula — is our number one priority, which is why we’re — you know, which is why we have been very, very acutely aware of — of the process that we’ve initiated with the flyover and also the DPA.

“I don’t have a timeline for you yet,” Jean-Pierre continued in her answer to the reporter. “We want to exp- — you know, make sure it goes very quickly, because it’s so critical.  And we know what — what families are going through.  I — but I don’t have an exact timeline.  Clear- — clearly, we want this to happen as fast as possible, as quickly as possible.”

It has been well known for some time now that the Biden regime has been prioritizing providing illegal aliens at the United States border with baby formula as American parents continue to search bare grocery shelves for anything to feed their young and growing children. Then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended the Biden administration’s actions, arguing that “it is the law” and “morally right” to prioritize the needs of illegal aliens over those of the American people.

“That is the difference from the last administration. It is the law, but we believe that when children and babies or babies, I should say, are crossing the border with a family member that providing them formula is morally right, and so we certainly support the implementation of it,” Psaki said at the time.

Jean-Pierre’s response comes as what has become a horrific nationwide baby formula shortage has already landed several babies in the hospital.
