White Progressive Parents in NYC Fight to Keep Schools Segregated

The party of slavery and Jim Crow showed its true colors recently at a town hall style meeting regarding a proposed plan for de-segregating New York City’s public schools.

“You’re talking about an 11-year-old, you worked your butt off and you didn’t get that, what you needed or wanted,” said one angry white parent. “You’re telling them that you’re not going to go to a school that’s going to educate them the same way you’ve been educated. Life sucks!”

New York City – one of the most “progressive” cities on earth, to be sure – has one of the most segregated school systems in America.

Now, wealthy mostly-white residents living in the Upper West Side of Manhattan are working to quash a plan put forth by the New York City School District’s superintendent that would dedicate one quarter of the seats in those schools to students who are at least a grade-level behind in testing on math and english.

The plan would also change the racial makeup of the schools in Manhattan to be “more reflective of New York City’s diverse demographics.”

Essentially, the “progressive” coastal elitist parents in Manhattan are throwing a temper-tantrum at the idea that their child might not get to attend the public school of their choice, but rather have to give up their seat to a minority student.

Richard A. Carranza, Chancellor of the New York City School District was quick to point out the hypocrisy of the white progressive bourgeoise.

“WATCH: Wealthy white Manhattan parents angrily rant against plan to bring more black kids to their schools,” he tweeted, linking to a video of the meeting.

Remember, these are the same people who spit on middle-America, calling it backwards, racist and bigoted. They bash working-class white people, labeling them white supremacists for voting for President Trump. But desegregation is something that middle-America figured out back in the 1960’s during the civil rights movement. It seems the “progressives” in the big city haven’t quite caught up yet.

We have a saying for these types of hypocrites down here – all hat, no cattle.
