WHO Director Wants Social Media Platforms, News Orgs. To Counter So-Called Monkeypox Disinfo

Misinformation and disinformation have become the go-to boogeymen for the ruling elites. Which makes sense considering controlling information is one the most effective ways to manipulate the masses.

In the latest installment of this Orwellian trend, the WHO is calling on social media platforms and news organizations to counter so-called monkeypox misinformation through national regulations.

“The stigma and discrimination can be as dangerous as any virus and can fuel the outbreak,” Ghebreyesus said. “As we have seen with COVID-19, misinformation and disinformation can spread rapidly online.”

“So we call on all social media platforms, tech companies, and news organizations to work with us to prevent and counter harmful information,” he added.

As many have already noticed, the monkeypox virus primarily spreads amongst “men who have sex with men.” But instead of shutting down gay bars and places where orgies are held – similar to how the WHO reacted towards churches and schools after the launch of COVID-19 – these people are focusing on shutting down internet discourse.

Last weekend, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared the virus a “public health emergency of international concern.” And now the Biden administration is apparently weighing declaring monkeypox a public health emergency too. In addition to planning on naming a national coordinator to oversee the response.

Americans know how this story goes, especially after new documents obtained by America First Legal show how the CDC worked directly with tech giants to crush dissent against the COVID-19 vaccine regime.

Fighting misinformation has become a go-to talking point for ruling elites because it is their greatest ticket to gaining power and control of the narrative amidst growing informational warfare between propagandists and Americans online.

For example, FDA Cheif Robert Califf recently equated “misinformation to the leading cause of death. Even though he later admitted there is “no way to quantify this.”

Canada’s Heritage Ministry recently announced a $2.4 million plan to fight “harmful online disinformation.” And released a statement declaring that the project’s goal is to promote “civic, news, and digital media literacy through funding third-party educational activities and programming to help citizens become resilient against disinformation.”

Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez stated that the Canadian government took it upon itself to launch this prophecy in order to “have a common set of facts.”

“These projects will give Canadians skills and tools to tell fact from fiction online. We live and work better as a society when we have a common set of facts,” Rodriguez added.

One single source of truth. That’s the end goal.
