Whole Foods Founder and CEO Says Socialists are ‘Taking Over’, Liberty ‘Under Threat’ Like Never Before

Whole Foods founder and CEO John Mackey said during a recent episode of the Reason podcast that socialists are “taking over,” and human liberty is “under threat” like never before.

Mackey has believed in “conscious capitalism” as a way to make the world better, but he is being forced to admit that his libertarian ideology has not done nearly enough to stop the socialist threat from advancing.

“My concern is that I feel like socialists are taking over,” Mackey said. “They’re marching through the institutions. They’re…taking over education. It looks like they’ve taken over a lot of the corporations. It looks like they’ve taken over the military. And it’s just continuing.”

“You know, I’m a capitalist at heart, and I believe in liberty and capitalism. Those are my twin values. And I feel like, you know, with the way freedom of speech is today, the movement on gun control, a lot of the liberties that I’ve taken for granted most of my life, I think, are under threat,” he added.

Mackey is intending to depart from Whole Foods this month, and he will become much more vocal and politically active in his anti-socialist advocacy once he retires from the corporate grind.

Big League Politics has reported on how it is the stated policy of the Democrats to crush Americans beneath a new “liberal world order”:

A Biden advisor appeared on CNN to say that Americans must pay higher gas prices as part of the new “liberal world order.”

Brian Deese, Director of the White House’s National Economic Council, stated to CNN that Biden’s policies will make Americans pay more at the pump, but it’s a good thing because it’s in the name of globalism and democracy to fight Putin, or something.
