Whoopi Goldberg Implies Donald Trump Jr.’s Sons Are Potential Future Sexual Abusers

ABC’s “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg says the only reason Donald Trump Jr. should be worried for his sons’ future in the #MeToo era is if he believed his sons had certain “tendencies” to abuse someone in the future.

“You only worry about this for your child if you think your child has these tendencies,” Goldberg claimed on Tuesday’s “The View” panel.

“If you think your child is not someone who is assaulting people, it shouldn’t be a concern for you,” she continued.

Abby Hunstmen jumped in, cutting Goldberg off and defended Trump Jr.’s position by explaining that at times, innocent men are falsely accused.

“Not necessarily though, right?” Huntsman asked Goldberg. “Isn’t that the point — in a not tactful way — he was trying to make? And I think [what] a lot of people are concerned about today is: you could be accused when you have been raised the right way — when you did nothing in that situation. We have countless … examples where that has happened.”

Joy Baher chimed in asking, “Like who?”

Hunstman responded immediately with, “Like the Duke lacrosse players, for example.”

Behar shrugged, “That’s one.”

Huntsman continued, explaining, “I grew up and I knew stories of that happening where I had a crazy friend in high school, and she would rally the girls around a guy she was dating, and we all hated him, and she was the one that needed serious help. It opens up the conversation to say evidence matters.”

Goldberg’s comments were not so well received by those on the right.

Andrew Surabian (@Surabees), Adviser to Trump Jr. tweeted Tuesday afternoon, “It’s ‘s son’s 7th birthday today & is on national TV saying Don’s kids are potential future sexual abusers. Are & ok with her attacking children in such a disgusting way? If a Repub said this about Obama’s grandkids, they’d be fired.”

Kambree Kawahine Koa (@KamTV), also took to Twitter to voice her displeasure with Goldberg attacking children all in the name of politics.

“I can take political jabs from adults but when it comes to CHILDREN or minors, I draw the line! If Whoopie Goldbergs comment below about children are appropriate and acceptable to & , then its time for the FCC to step in! ABC is SILENT!”

Sebastian Gorka (@SebGorka) pointed out the double standards in today’s political climate by tweeting on Tuesday, “Proof is unhinged. What if a Conservative had said ’s girls will grow up to be abusers? Response

Tuesday night, Donald Trump Jr. reminded the “Twitterverse” about the time Goldberg defended director Roman Polanski who fled the United States after he was charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in 1977, and tweeted:

“.@WhoopiGoldberg, instead of insinuating that my sons are potential future abusers, you might want to explain why you defended actual child rapist Roman Polanski?
