President Donald Trump further shows his clout against moves by his own administration to undermine his policy, as the Trump Department of Justice said Wednesday that they will re-commit themselves to Trump’s fight to get the “Citizenship” question on the Census.

“We at the Department of Justice have been instructed to examine whether there is a path forward, consistent with the Supreme Court’s decision, that would allow us to include the citizenship question on the census,” a DOJ lawyer said before a federal judge.

This comes just one day after the Trump administration reportedly abandoned the citizenship question on the Census following a Supreme Court decision that went against Trump. Trump made it clear on Twitter Wednesday morning that his administration was not giving up.

Trump is also showing his power over the Republican Party, as the House Oversight Committee Republicans took a strong position supporting the Citizenship Question — prior to the DOJ re-committing itself to the fight.

Trump’s immense popularity with Republican voters — in opposition to the Republican establishment that lacks a clear or substantial constituency — can and must be weaponized constantly in order for President Trump to fulfill his populist nationalist agenda.

President Donald Trump promised in the Oval Office that mass deportation of illegal aliens will begin after his Salute to America in Washington, D.C. on the Fourth of July, where battle tanks will be present.

“After July 4, a lot of people are going to be brought back out,” Trump stated as he inked his signature on the Republican — not Nancy Pelosi’s — version of a border funding bill.

Trump promised on Twitter that ICE would begin deporting the illegal immigrants who have invaded our country, then he delayed the raids by two weeks after yet another predictable Trump administration press leak to undermine the president’s policies.

Rush Limbaugh has always maintained that Trump still intends to deport the illegals, even as members of Trump’s base criticized the president. Based on Trump’s statement in the Oval Office, it appears that Rush is right as usual.

White Pill: Montana House Moves Constitutional Carry Bill Forward

Constitutional Carry is one ray of hope for the Right.

On January 20, 2021, the Montana House of Representatives passed Constitutional Carry legislation, HB102.

Dean Weingarten of Ammoland.com reported that the bill passed by a 66 to 31 margin.

Weingarten provided some context to the significance of this bill’s progress:

The bill is the accumulation of a decade and a half of struggle against Democrat Governors, who have repeatedly vetoed reform legislation passed with large majorities in the legislature. Numerous sections in the bill show the Montana legislature has learned the lesson from other states as they restore the right to keep and bear arms.

Montana’s Senate is made up of 31 Republicans and 19 Democrats and Governor Greg Gianforte is a Republican, so the passage of this bill augurs well.  If passed, HB102 would make Montana the 17th Constitutional Carry state.

Montana is already a very gun-friendly state, and represents a low-hanging fruit for Second Amendment activists to tap into.

Constitutional Carry has been one of the most successful movements on the Right over the past twenty years. It’s easy to complain about the corrupt status quo, but there are still plenty of ways right-wingers can score victories. Constitutional Carry is one of them.

It would behoove the Right to analyze existing trends and build off movements that are already producing results. There’s no need to embark on quixotic campaigns that end up being total fools’ errands. Find what’s already working and run with it.
