Arizona State Government Ordered Shipping Containers be Placed in Border Wall Gaps

By Jose Nino

Under the Biden regime, the United States federal government has become so negligent with border security policies now red states at the border are taking matters into their own hands.

Arizona’s case is instructive. According to Charlotte Cuthbertson of The Epoch Times, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey recently “ordered 60 double-stacked shipping containers to be placed in border fence gaps near Yuma, the state’s busiest illegal border crossing area.”

Ducey issued an executive order for the commencement of the container work on August 12, 2022.

“Arizona has had enough,” Ducey declared in a news release.

“We can’t wait any longer. The Biden administration’s lack of urgency on border security is a dereliction of duty. For the last two years, Arizona has made every attempt to work with Washington to address the crisis on our border.”

This project is estimated to cost $6 million.

The Yuma Sector that Border Patrol agents are tasked with securing has been overwhelmed by non-stop flows of migrants since Joe Biden was installed in office. In fact, Border Patrol has made the most apprehensions in the Yuma Sector since Biden took power.

So far in the fiscal year of 2022, border agents have arrested over 162,700 illegal alien border crossers per data from Customs and Border Protection.

In fiscal 2021, the total of illegal alien border crosser arrests were over 184,500. By contrast, in the fiscal year of 2020, Border Patrol agents apprehended slightly north of 8,700 illegal crossers.

Back on December 9, 2021, Yuma Mayor Doug Nicholls declared an emergency due to the massive influx of illegal aliens.

Yuma is a town of almost 100,000 people. Nicholas stressed that the town does not have sufficient resources to process the massive influx of illegal alien invaders crossing the border.

“The surge of migrants the federal government has allowed to trek over the border has the grave potential to greatly impact and strain our community,” Nicholls declared in a press release that was published on August 12. “Washington must send a clear message that this is not the way to immigrate to our country.”

“National security starts with border security. Biden’s border crisis deteriorates daily while the White House is silent,” Nicholls declared in a press release. “Border communities like Yuma bear the burden of a broken border while narcotics poison our youth, human smuggling rises and mass amounts of migrants wear on our nonprofits.”

It’s become clear that no one in the DC Swamp class wants to defend America’s territorial integrity.

Instead, they want to promote open borders for the cheap labor, cheap votes uniparty. As a result, red border states are now tasked with restoring order at the border.

Hopefully, states like Texas and Arizona can pact with the strong political leadership of Florida to build a parallel border security infrastructure that will preserve our national sovereignty.

The federal government can not be trusted to fulfill that role any longer.
