A British Muslim apologized after going viral in a video in which he pledged to sodomize any Muslim who converts to Christianity.
Zaheer Hussain went viral on social media after independent British journalist Tommy Robinson uploaded a “hate filled” video in which Hussain, while traveling in a vehicle with a man he identifies as “Chaudrhy from Garmala”, threatens to sodomize Christian converts.
“Any motherf*cker wants to convert to f*cking Christianity, we’re both going to f*ck you up the ass, you understand,” Hussain said in the video, “Yeah, we’re gonna f*ck you up the ass.”
Hussain expressed hatred for Christians and made threats against converts throughout the video, denigrating Christian baptism several times, at one point saying “Why become a Christian? You f*cking baptising sh*t motherf*ckers.”
“Go back to Bethlehem, you f*cking bastards,” the man concluded.
After seeing the video on social media, Hussain reached out to The Lancashire Telegraph to apologize:
Speaking today he said, “I am really sorry for the offence caused. I do not know what came over me when I said those things.
“This message was a private message between friends on WhatsApp. I did not share this video on Facebook or You Tube. I am not a serial blogger. I realise straight away actually that I made several obnoxious, crude comments that I should not have made.
“I realise now that my views can be very offensive not only to Christians but also to members of my own community. We hold the Prophet Isa in high regard too.
Hussain went on to beg for forgiveness from “all Christians,” and explained that the video was made while enraged after watching a Christian baptism, and doubled down with his point that the hate filled rant was only meant to be shared with a few people.
Robinson identifies Hussain as a “Pakistani Muslim from Preston,” and considers the episode an example of “Christianophobia”.
