CANCELLED: Long-Time ‘Hardball’ Host Chris Matthews is Out at MSNBC Following Recent Controversies

By Shane Trejo

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, who was a pioneer in the field of cable news field by hosting “Hardball” for decades, has resigned from his post after a string of recent controversies.

“I’m retiring,” Matthews said. “This is the last ‘Hardball’ on MSNBC.”

He made the announcement on Monday’s episode of “Hardball,” and left his show immediately after his resignation. He was reportedly planning to retire at the end of the election cycle, but that was moved up considerably due to the fallout from the recent controversies.

“The younger generations out there are ready to take the reins,” he said.

Matthews initially came under fire after he compared the rise of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in the Democrat presidential race to the rise of Nazi Germany.

“The general calls up Churchill and says, ‘It’s over,’” Mr. Matthews said during a broadcast of his show, as he tried to describe Democrats’ surprise at Sanders’ unexpected surge. “Churchill says: ‘How can it be? You got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?’ He said, ‘It’s over.’”

From there, the controversy only worsened for the embattled journalist, after he mistakenly said that Jaime Harrison, a Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina, was Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC). He told this to Harrison while he was appearing on his show.

“Jaime, I see you standing next to the guy you’re going to beat right there, maybe, maybe, Lindsey Graham,” Matthews said.

“That’s Tim Scott,” Harrison said.

“Jaime?” Matthews said.

“Tim Scott,” another guest said.

“Who’s that?” a confused Matthews said.

“That’s Tim Scott,” another guest said causing Harrison to laugh.

“I’m sorry?” an increasingly confused Matthews said.

“Oh, the other Senator, Tim Scott. What am I saying?” a now lucid Matthews said.

“Big mistake. Mistaken identity, sir. I’m sorry,” he continued.

After they smelled blood in the water, that’s when Matthews was hit with the inevitable #MeToo accusations by embittered female reporters.

Journalist Laura Bassett claimed that “has a pattern of making comments about women’s appearances in demeaning ways” because he asked “Why haven’t I fallen in love with you yet?” to a female guest. He admitted fault while groveling on his final show.

“For making such comments in the past, I’m sorry,” Matthews said during tonight’s broadcast.

Leftists are currently pissing on Matthews’ grave in social media posts.

As they radicalize further, the Left will continue to eat their own as the jackals demand the blood of all those who are not sufficiently pure.
