Conservative Speaker Escorted Off Campus While Leftists Allowed To Stay

By Bo Banks

Young America’s Foundation (YAF) speaker Elisha Krauss was recorded on video being forced off of the Saint Louis University campus by police officers while leftist protesters were allowed to remain – watch:

Krauss, who is a conservative commentator and radio host, was invited to speak at the university by the school’s YAF chapter.

During an interview with The Daily Wire, Krauss shared that she was “proud to take a stand against the intolerant left.” Noting that the group of protestors called her “an old a**, a b***h, and a fascist.”

“I defend their rights to free speech the same as anyone else,” Krauss added. “Too bad they wouldn’t engage in a discussion or debate about political beliefs.”

The leftist protesters were not only allowed to remain on campus and interrupt Krauss’ speech but they were also given preferential treatment by campus police who forcibly removed Krauss and YAF members from their own event.

The YAF reported:

“St. Louis University, which purports to be a Catholic university, escorted the YAF activists and Krauss from the center of campus––despite BLM protestors being allowed to host many protests in the same spot. The pro-abortion counter protestors were allowed to remain at the same location for an additional 20 minutes.”

Now, YAF plans to investigate Saint Louis University’s double standard of campus free speech.

“The First Amendment doesn’t only protect popular speech, it protects all speech,” said Spencer Brown, YAF spokesman. “If a Jesuit school can’t handle a debate on Catholic moral teachings without resorting to violence and shutting down conservative students, then its administrators have some serious soul searching to do.”

YAF also plans to take legal action against the school for violating its constitutional rights.

“We will not be intimidated or pushed around by these violent leftists,” Brown added. “YAF will continue to stand up for the First Amendment rights of all students, even if we have to sue a school to do it.”

This would not be the first time that the YAF has had to take legal action against a university for censoring conservative speech. In 2016, the YAF filed a lawsuit against California State University-Los Angeles after administrators there tried to cancel a scheduled event with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

In another example, the YAF sued the University of California-Berkeley after several conservative students were attacked by leftist thugs during a speech given by former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

The YAF and many other free speech advocates have labeled the violence done to conservatives on college campuses as “leftist terrorism,” because they believe that the left encourages this kind of behavior routinely.
