Former Andrew Cuomo Aide Claims New York Governor “Sexually Harassed Me For Years”

By Richard Moorhead

A former aide of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, has accused Cuomo of sexually harassing her for years.

Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it,” Boylan continued in a later tweet. “No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman.

Boylan is a New York City progressive who challenged establishment Democrat Jerry Nadler in a congressional primary last year. She’s currently running for Manhattan borough president.

Cuomo spokeswoman Caitlin Girouard denied Boylan’s accusation in an email to the New York Daily News, saying “there is simply no truth to these claims.

Boylan had previously claimed that working in Andrew Cuomo’s office is the most toxic team environment she’s ever experienced. Cuomo has merited criticism for berating journalists that criticize him and his inflated, grandiose personality. The New York governor has launched a publicity tour after presiding over what may be the worst coronavirus outbreak in the entire world, aggravated by an executive order mandating that nursing homes accept patients who has tested positive for the virus.

Boylan described a workplace environment in which Cuomo’s employees were “deathly afraid” of him, claiming that there are a multitude of former Cuomo employees who have had bad experiences working for the three-term governor.

Cuomo, whose national book tour and frequent media appearances have catapulted him into progressive heroism, is reportedly under consideration for nomination as Biden’s Attorney General. Boylan has said she has no interest in talking to journalists, but it’s possible her story of abuse could derail Cuomo’s cabinet plans.
