Four Foreign Ministers from NATO Countries Voiced Concerns about the overturning of Roe v Wade

According to a report by Andrew Desiderio at POLITICO, foreign ministers from NATO member countries, have voiced their concerns about the United States Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

At least four of these ministers believe that this recent decision casts major doubts about the US’s reliability as a security guarantor in the Old Continent.

Virginia Congressman Gerry Connolly, who is the President of the NATO General Assembly, claimed that he was surprised by the criticism from officials of NATO member nations.

“Normally in diplomatic circles, people are going to be a little circumspect in criticizing your internal domestic policies,” Connolly stated. He claimed that on four separate occasions, foreign ministers “initiated the conversation” and “made a point of sharing with me their sense of outrage.”

President Joe Biden also stated during a press conference on June 30, 2022 that the Court’s recent decision has been “destabilizing.”

Connolly warned that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe could potentially damage the US’s credibility abroad and make NATO allies hesitant about cooperating with the US further down the line due to its perceived regression in values.

“All the reassurances of ‘we’re back’ and ‘don’t look under the curtain of those last four years’ are eroded to some extent with this,” Connolly stated. “It erodes confidence in our system. And that’s pretty important when you’re supposed to be helping to lead a military alliance to take on the big bad Russians.”

Connolly did not specifically name the foreign ministers who spoke ill of the Supreme Court decision at the NATO dinner. The POLITICO report noted that several NATO heads of state and government released statements affirming the right to an abortion” right after the Supreme Court’s controversial decision.

If we’re being honest, such statements may have some degree of credibility. NATO governments, with the exception of former-Soviet Union states, tend to be universalist in nature when it comes to their advocacy of progressive values. They’re all part of a multicultural blob that promotes never-ending wars, radical LGBT causes, abortion, and mass migration.

This is another reason why the America Right should oppose NATO vigorously. Its entangling alliance structure and its degenerate values are sufficient grounds for any America First advocate to be hostile towards it.
