YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, will be funding progressive propaganda show The Young Turks (TYT) to teach viewers how to conduct journalism.
The channel, which has promoted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist “squad,” will be opening TYT Academy to facilitate local news reporting on the YouTube platform. Google is reportedly investing money in the mid-six figures range to TYT. While Google throws pro-Trump conservative voices off the platform, they paper over their opposition in a showing of open collusion with the radical Left.
However, TYT Academy denies that their program will contain any political bias. Steven Oh, TYT’s Chief Business Officer who created the program, said to Axios that they are “not interested in cranking out journalists who share our political viewpoint whatsoever.”
TYT plans to have eight videos in two tracks that applicants will need to study in order to graduate from their academy. The first track is on “journalism tactics and responsibilities” and the second is on “best practices for online video production across many online platforms.” Participants will be given short quizzes throughout the course, and then required to pass a final exam in order to receive a journalism certificate.
This comes as apart of the Google News Initiative (GNI) that was launched in 2018. The Orwellian monolith plans to spend $300 million in order to control and influence the news as they boot dissident voices from their platform in record numbers.
“It’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish what’s true (and not true) online,” Google said in a blog post from 2018. “Business models for journalism continue to change drastically. The rapid evolution of technology is challenging all institutions, including the news industry, to keep pace.”
In addition to funding TYT Academy, Google will be working with establishment organs such as the Harvard University’s First Draft project, the Poynter Institute, and Stanford University in an attempt to tighten their stranglehold on the journalism industry.
“We know that success can only be achieved by working together, and we look forward to collaborating with the news industry to build a stronger future for journalism,” Google said.
Facebook is also putting journalistic agencies on their payroll. They are paying Reuters to teach a course on spotting supposed “deep fakes,” using a popular meme of drunken Nancy Pelosi as an example of the disinformation that needs to be combated.
Julia Bain, a worker for Facebook’s integrity partnerships, said that working with Reuters is “an important step to help journalists spot this type of content so we can stop the spread of misinformation online.” They are expected to pay off other reporting agencies in the future, if they haven’t started already. They have not released the information publicly on whom exactly is on their dole.
