Anti-gun legislators in Hawaii are working to repeal the Second Amendment.
Democratic officials moved Senate Concurrent Resolution (SCR) No. 42 forward in the Hawaii Senate, which states that
in light of the numerous tragic mass shootings at schools, work places, and public events, this body believes that it is necessary to repeal or amend the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.
This resolution calls on Congress to
adopt a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution pursuant to article V of the United States Constitution to clarify the constitutional right to bear arms.
In the Senate sponsors’ view, the Framers’ interpretation of a “well-regulated militia” was “intended only to restrict the United States Congress from legislating away a state’s right to self-defense.”
Hawaii’s motion to repeal the Second Amendment is part of growing a movement to destroy gun rights in America. Even since former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens called for a repeal of the Second Amendment last year, open declarations to eviscerate gun rights have become normalized among leftist discourse.
It’s safe to say that all those “looney” Second Amendment activists were on to something all these years.
Repealing the Second Amendment is the gun controller’s endgame.
