Wednesday evening known grifter, creepy porn lawyer and barrister for Stormy Daniels in her case against President Donald J. Trump, Michael Avenatti, was arrested for alleged domestic abuse in Los Angeles.
Many of you are probably wondering “How could this be? Avenatti is a champion for all women! He taught us that all women are to be believed when they levy accusations of abuse against toxic patriarchal men!” If you were under that impression, it is probably because you’ve spent time on his Twitter feed, where he constantly reminds the world how virtuous he is.
But Avenatti categorically denied the allegations made against him.
“I have never struck a woman,” he said in press conference. “I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career, and I’m going to continue to be an advocate. I am not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing. I am a father to two beautiful, smart daughters. I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman.”
It seems like Avenatti is suggesting that these allegations are a political ploy – an intimidation tactic to “stop him,” which is oddly conspiratorial. But at the very least, it appears that he has committed the cardinal sin of the political left – Not believing ALL women.
In light of that, here’s a sampling of Tweets from Avenatti about how much he respects women:
“People that are attacking Ms. Ramirez and Ms. Swetnick for coming forward should be ashamed. They claim these women should have “shut up” and stayed quiet. Apparently assault victims are to blame for the vote. This line of thinking is disgusting & offensive to all survivors,” he said in early October, during the Kavanaugh confirmation drama.
“The Equal Rights Amendment has been in limbo far too long. It is frankly shocking that it has yet to be ratified after all of these years. The time has come to change this. Women deserve equal rights across the board, especially equal pay! #Basta,” he Tweeted in August.
In June, he accused actor James Woods of “predatory behavior” and then told us all how much he respects women.
“Who is this again? Oh, that’s right, the has been who has been accused by at least three women of predatory behavior. You may not care about women, mothers, and devastated children, but I do…regardless of their skin color. #Basta,” he said in a grammatically abhorrent sentence.
“A sincere pleasure to spend the morning with these fine women leaders. I will always have their back,” he said after hanging out with Donna Brazile, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, (D-Tex.) and other black female leaders in September.
“.@realDonaldTrump – tens of millions of Americans are tired of your fraud, lies, and corruption. They are equally tired of your attacks on women, especially the ones who you have had sex with while cheating on your wives. We (and the UN) are laughing AT YOU, not with you. #Basta,” he Tweeted at Trump, making unproven accusations against the President.
“He’s too busy tweeting about @OMAROSA and demeaning women/minorities. He doesn’t have time to deal with unimportant issues like trying to save kids. #Disgrace #Basta,” he said in August.
“Every nominee for the Dem party in 2020 must commit to a gender balanced cabinet – 50% women/men. The lack of female cabinet members over the years is a disgrace. The time has come. No more excuses. #Basta,” he Tweeted in late October.
Avenatti is a case study in the pride coming before the fall.
