Illegal Arrested for Drug Trafficking in North Carolina

By Peter D'Abrosca

An illegal alien was arrested in Salisbury, North Carolina and charged with trafficking marijuana by possession, according to a Thursday report.

“Mario Andres Solis-Delgado, 33, was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana by possession,” said Fox46. “Solis-Delgado indicated that he was a Mexican citizen and in the United States illegally. He was placed under a $50,000 secured bond and subsequently posted bond and was released.”

The U.S. Postal Service, working with the Rowan County, NC Sheriff’s Office, monitored suspicious packages being mailed to Solis-Delgado from California. Eight such packages were reportedly delivered to his home over the past year. They took action against Solis-Delgado last Friday.

“After a delivery of another suspicious package, investigators said they executed the search warrant and located approximately 11 pounds of high grade marijuana inside the package. The marijuana was valued at around $30,000,” the report said.

Authorities also found a .22 caliber handgun and drug paraphernalia.

Solis-Delgado’s arrest comes amid a bitter battle between Republicans and Democrats regarding border security. President Donald J. Trump has fought the open borders left tooth and nail, and appear poised to sign a budget bill Thursday that provides little money for a border wall. However, Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) indicated that Trump will also declare a national emergency, signaling that he will build the wall without Congressional approval.
