INTERVIEW: Paul Ryan Primary Challenger Blasts the Speaker for Not Standing Up To Antifa

By Cassandra Fairbanks

Paul Nehlen, the ‘America First’ conservative candidate that is challenging Paul Ryan in 2018, is not holding back his thoughts about Antifa and their violence — unlike the RINO Speaker who has still not condemned the actions of the militant leftists.

Nehlen will be challenging Paul Ryan for a second time, in an attempt to finally put a stop to the speaker’s relentless obstruction of the Trump administration.

Speaking to Big League Politics, Nehlen explained that he is “absolutely fed up” with Antifa and their antics. To help curb their violence and destruction, the successful entrepreneur from Wisconsin has been advocating a push for enforcement or creation of local anti-mask ordinances.

“That will take care of both sides — if you have on a white hood on with the KKK or a black balaclava or ski mask with Antifa. Across the board, if you are marching towards somebody’s demonstration and you have a bat in your hand and a hood over your head you should be arrested,” Nehlen told Big League. “I’ve gone so far as to say you should be beaten to a pulp and then be arrested.”

Nehlen added that after broadcasting a live video about the proposal, someone pointed out to him that there are already anti-mask laws in Charlottesville, which were not enforced. We also discussed reports that police in Berkeley have been given stand down orders during previous riots by their Antifa-linked mayor.

“They should be arrested. I think they have violated their oath of office and those mayors are essentially leading an insurrection. These mayors, the mayor of Charlottesville, the mayor of Berkeley, these police chiefs — anyone who is conspiring to not enforce the law under the premise of better crowd control should be arrested,” Nehlen asserted. “Not controlling the crowd is never a better crowd control method.”

Nehlen added, unequivocally, that “anybody who wants to have a free speech rally in this country should have zero worry that they will be allowed to do so, zero.”

When asked why he thinks Ryan has not condemned Antifa, despite the fact that even Nancy Pelosi has, Nehlen explained that for the Speaker only cares about using whatever tools he can to undermine Trump.

“I think Paul Ryan looks for every attack vector on President Trump and he will use any and all means to undermine the president — whether it’s Antifa or Sheriff Joe Arpaio, it doesn’t matter. Speaker Ryan wants to undermine this president,” Nehlen said.

During his first campaign, Nehlen was praised by Trump for his support in a Twitter exchange that took place on August 1 — after Ryan had begrudgingly announced his endorsement of Trump.

“I met President Trump after my election, but before his — I wrote about it in my new book. He was very complimentary of my race,” Nehlen said. “There was only a few of us in the room and I walked up to him and put my hand out and said ‘Mr. Trump my name is Paul Nehlen,’ and he said ‘I know who you are! You ran a great race in Wisconsin,’ with a big smile on his face. He was very encouraging for me to run again.”

Nehlen still doesn’t have high expectations that he will gain the Trump endorsement, but believes that he should. Nehlen stated that 2018 needs to be the year of putting a bunch of people in office who will support Trump’s agenda.

“I almost feel like there was a big wave that crashed onto shore and when the water receded, the only one standing there was Trump,” Nehlen said. “The next wave that comes in 2018, when it recedes, there needs to be a bunch of Trump supporters surrounding him and going to Washington to make the America First agenda a reality.”

Given Trump’s open support of Senator Jeff Flake’s challenger Dr. Kelli Ward in Arizona, it seems possible that the president may endorse or promote other candidates who share his vision and would not seek to obstruct him like many current representatives. Nehlen would certainly be a prime candidate for the president to get behind, should he decide to fight for his policies.

Nehlen also pointed out that it is highly unlikely that Ryan will be replaced as Speaker of the House unless he is voted out of office.

“If we think for one minute that the GOP is going to vote in a different Speaker — we are mistaken. Paul Ryan will be the speaker in 2019 because the spineless jellyfish in Washington will vote him in again. We can’t let that happen. He needs to be primaried out in 2018,” Nehlen said.

In a previous interview with Big League Politics, Nehlen explained that he only had four months to campaign against Ryan during his previous bid. During that time, he was laser focused on stopping the controversial Trans Pacific Partnership — and he feels he was unable to fully introduce himself and his policies to the public. He is widely credited, however, with pressuring Ryan to finally oppose the TPP — legislation that would have been absolutely devastating to manufacturing jobs here in the US, according to experts.

Since his last campaign, Nehlen has written a book called Wage The Battle about the importance of running candidates who support the ‘America First’ agenda across the nation and produced a documentary about radical Islam’s global invasion.
