Marjorie Taylor Greene Unloads on House Freedom Caucus in Angry Pro-Kevin McCarthy Rant

By Shane Trejo

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is up in arms about her colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus opposing RINO Kevin McCarthy’s bid for House Speaker.

Greene is angry because of House Freedom Caucus members attempting to negotiate more conservatives in key leadership positions in the new GOP-run Congress. She feels left out and claims she has not done anything similar despite her constant shilling for McCarthy.

“I haven’t asked for one thing for myself and I’m the only Republican that has zero committees…I find out it’s my Freedom Caucus colleagues and my supposed friends that went and did that and they asked nothing for me…I am furious,” she said.

“While the conservative that the base supports and believes in, they’re not perfect either,” Greene added, calling out Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Bob Good (R-VA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Chip Roy (R-TX) in particular.

“This is not anything about the country. This is all about ‘Never Kevin.’ They just don’t like Kevin McCarthy, and you cannot be successful in anything if you aren’t able to walk in a room, make what you want, and get a deal done, and then walk away with a W and then get to work and not worry about who you like or who you don’t like,” she stated.

Greene went above and beyond to throw her colleagues, who have the most conservative voting records in the House, under the bus for refusing to support the RINO McCarthy for speaker.

“There’s not going to be a tiny little group that’s going to demand their way because they want subcommittee chairs and they want certain power positions. That’s not how this works, and that is the worst thing they could do for the country, and I am furious over it, and I will continue calling them out,” she said.

Greene has been pushing hard for McCarthy as speaker for months, fearmongering that pushing for a more conservative choice would result in disaster.

“I actually think that’s a bad strategy when we’re looking at having a very razor-thin majority, with potentially 219 — we’re talking about one vote,” Greene said.

“It’s very, very risky right now to produce a leadership challenge, especially for Speaker of the House, when they are going to open the door and allow Liz Cheney, possibly, to become Speaker,” she added.

The House Freedom Caucus has stopped McCarthy from being elected on the first vote. Only time will tell if they can get a better, more conservative choice in as Speaker against the objections of MTG.
