POLL: Voters Don’t Trust How the Biden Regime Handled the Palestine, Ohio Derailment

By Jose Nino

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, only 30% of likely United States voters believe the Biden regime’s response to the Palestine, Ohio train derailment was good or excellent. On the other hand, 46% gave the government poor marks for the way it tackled the disaster.

Most voters give the federal government low ratings for its response to this month’s train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

Following the February 3, 2023 derailment of a Norfolk Southern freight train that released the toxic chemical vinyl chloride, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicated tests “show no water quality concerns” in East Palestine. By contrast, only 23% of voters say that they would feel safe drinking the water If they lived close to the area where the train derailment took place, which includes only 9% who would feel very safe drinking the water there. 71% would not feel safe drinking the water close to East Palestine, which includes 47% who indicated they’d feel “not at all safe”.

Voters across the political spectrum have grown distrustful of the EPA’s water-quality assurances in East Palestine. 59% of Republicans, 37% of Democrats, and 47% of independent voters stated that they would not feel safe at all drinking the water close to the East Palestine train derailment site.

By contrast, 15% of Republican voters and 28% of independent voters share that opinion. 63% of Republican voters, 27% of Democrat voters, and 48% of independent voters gave the government poor marks for its response to the East Palestine derailment.

48% of white voters, 37% of black voters, and 50% of other non-black minority voters indicated that they would feel not at all safe drinking the water close to the East Palestine train derailment site. When it came to income strata, 48% of voters making over $200,000 annually signaled that they’d feel at least somewhat safe drinking the water close to East Palestine, compared to only 12% of those making below $30,000 annually. Voters making between $30,000 and $50,000 annually are more likely to give the Biden regime poor marks for the way it has handled the East Palestine train derailment.

America has a clear infrastructure problem. This is the product of a political class that is more focused on spending money on welfare and never-ending wars abroad. Similar incidents to the one in East Palestine will proliferate as America’s infrastructure begins deteriorating due to political negligence.
