President Donald Trump announced through his Save America PAC on Monday that he will be attending a gala fundraiser with the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) tonight in Tampa, Fla.
“I will be doing a roundtable and speaking tonight at the National Republican Congressional Committee annual dinner in Tampa. Look forward to being there!” Trump announced in an email blast.
Trump’s announcement can be seen here:
The problem with Trump’s announcement is that the NRCC is a Washington D.C. swamp organization operating at the behest of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-FL). They are raising funds to help Republican lawmakers who betrayed their country and voted to impeach Trump, as a matter of fact.
Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL), who serves as finance chair for the NRCC, announced publicly that incumbents who voted with Democrats in favor of impeaching President Trump would continue to receive financial support from the GOP establishment’s slush fund shortly after that shameful vote took place.
“If we are going to become the majority party — which I think we will — you’ve got to accept that we’re a big tent,” LaHood said, expressing his desire to keep the Republican Party tent big enough to include liberals and RINOs.
The NRCC Chair, Rep. Tom Emmer of Minnesota, has even chided the president for supporting America First Republican primary challengers against RINO incumbents.
“He can do whatever he wants,” Emmer said of news that Trump was interjecting himself into contentious primary races to defeat RINOs. “But I would tell him that it’s probably better for us that we keep these people and we make sure that we have a majority that can be sustained going forward.”
“That’s not gonna be helpful,” he added.
Big League Politics has reported on how McCarthy, Emmers and others in the RINO establishment are raising tons of cash to help the pro-impeachment traitors remain in office:
“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has raised over six figures for several Republican Congressmen who voted to impeach President Donald Trump and joined the Democrat-led war on the Constitution after Jan. 6.
CNN has revealed that McCarthy raised six figures each for five of the ten lawmakers who voted to impeach President Trump after Jan. 6. They also noted that National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Tom Emmer attended a fundraiser for Rep. Jaime Herrera-Beutler (R-WA) recently, who is being primary challenged by Trump-endorsed Iraq war veteran Joe Kent.
Kent spoke to CNN reporter Melanie Zanona about the RINOs betraying the America First base of the Republican Party and working to protect their power in Congress.
“McCarthy is talking out of one side of his mouth — saying he supports the MAGA movement, Trump and President Trump’s policies,” Kent told CNN.
“But his money is supporting Jamie Herrera Beutler and four of the other impeachment voters. It’s just part of the GOP grift. So me and the rest of the base, we’ve kind of have heard enough from them,” he added.”
President Trump may support these candidates who are primary challenging RINO lawmakers, but he is inadvertently helping the political machine devoted to backing his enemies by participating in the NRCC fundraising gala.
