As rumors swirled that President Trump instructed aides to look into getting the U.S. back in the managed trade deal known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Critics noted how sweeping some regulations were in the so-called “free trade” deal including “green” initiatives.
But President Trump put those rumors to rest after meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Abe, tweeting on Tuesday night:
This will be music to the ears of conservatives who were worried Trump had gone wobbly on a major campaign promise.
Staying out of the deal is certainly a good deal for Americans who voted for the President.
