Porn star Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti worked in a professional opposition-research capacity for Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and vice president Joe Biden.
Avenatti, who is also a racecar driver, worked for Emanuel’s firm The Research Group, where he served in an opposition research capacity on a Joe Biden Senate campaign.
“While in college and later in law school, Michael worked at a political opposition research and media firm run by Rahm Emanuel (who later became White House Chief of Staff and is presently the Mayor of Chicago). During his time there, Michael worked on over 150 campaigns in 42 states, including multiple gubernatorial and congressional campaigns (i.e. Joe Biden’s U.S. Senate Campaign),” according to Avenatti’s biography on his website.
Daniels, through Avenatti, is currently trying to give back her hush-money payment from Trump lawyer Michael Cohen so that she can presumably publicly allege that she had an affair with Trump while he was married to Melania.
Melania appears to be unfazed, at least publicly, by the numerous reports about Stormy Daniels, and Trump supporters are apathetic about the president’s alleged personal life.
The House Intelligence Committee recently found, definitively, no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, undermining special counsel Robert Mueller’s wide-ranging investigation into Trump-World. With the Russia narrative fading — in part because Hillary Clinton actually colluded with the Russians to sell 20 percent of U.S. uranium to the Russians — anti-Trump conspirators are looking for other avenues of attack.
Stormy Daniels is expected to appear on “Sixty Minutes” at some point, though Cohen would probably have to give her the money back so that she wouldn’t be violating her confidentiality agreement.
