A federal judge in Texas Friday temporarily blocked the government from enforcing Joe Biden’s Covid-19 shot mandate for federal employees, stating that he didn’t have the authority to do so “with the stroke of a pen and without input from Congress.”
Judge Jeffrey Vincent Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas Friday ruled against the administration on a mandate that forces the Covid-19 innoculation on general federal employees. The ruling is considered to be temporary.
“While vaccines are undoubtedly the best way to avoid serious illness from COVID-19, there is no reason to believe that the public interest cannot be served via less restrictive measures than the mandate, such as masking, social distancing, or part- or full-time remote work,” Brown wrote. “Stopping the spread of COVID-19 will not be achieved by overbroad policies like the federal-worker mandate.”
Big League Politics has covered other past instances of courts stopping draconian Covid-19 inoculation mandates imposed through executive orders, including the blocking of former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s vaxx mandate by a Manhattan court in December.
A mandate by New York forcing all city employees to be inoculated against COVID-19 has been temporarily blocked by a Manhattan court.
The stay was issued by Judge Frank P. Nervo against the October 20 order mandating all municipal employees to receive the jab, including NYPD, FDNY, EMS and other first responders, and educators such as public school teachers.
The Jewish Press reported that there has been major backlash from the Jewish community following the private-sector mandate, which also affects yeshivas, synagogues, and other Jewish nonprofit organizations…

The news coming from the Texas federal judge’s ruling against the Biden adminstration is just one of many recent blows made against their recent push for forced innoculation nationwide. The Biden administration had pushed numerous forms of jab mandates over the past few months, including one for private businesses of 100 employees or more which was blocked by the Supreme Court just less than a couple of weeks ago. Another similar order applying to healthcare workers who work at facilities which receive federal funding was allowed to stand.
