United States Prepares Military Aid Package With Rockets Than Can Reach Roughly 100 Miles

By Jose Nino

It’s becoming abundantly clear that the United States government will not be easing tensions with Russia anytime soon

According to a recent Reuters report, the US is getting ready to send another military aid package to Ukraine, which includes rockets that have a range of 94 miles. Dave DeCamp of Antiwar.com noted that this is “almost double the range of the munitions Ukraine was provided for the HIMARS rocket systems.”

Per two unnamed US officials that Reuters cited, the US has plans of providing Ukraine with the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) as part of an $2 billion + military aid package.

Officials said that the GLSDB will be supplied under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which grants the Defense Department the power to purchase weapons for Ukraine. Weapons supplied under the USAI  could take months or years to be delivered due to how they involve contracts and might need to be manufactured.

Boeing, which produces the GLSDBs, has been preparing for months to produce GLSDBs for Ukraine. Back in November, Reuters reported that American officials were mulling the deployment of aid to Ukraine and said the rockets could be available by the spring.

Increasing military aid to Ukraine has been the Collective West’s strategy in trying to bleed Russia out in this conflict. However, as DeCamp noted that “Each escalation of aid brings the US and Russia closer to a direct conflict, which could quickly spiral into nuclear war.”

This military aid package is expected to feature $1.725 billion in USAI funds that will be allocated towards the GLSDB in addition to HAWK air defense systems, counter-drone systems, counter artillery radars, communications equipment, PUMA surveillance drones, and surplus parts for Bradleys and Patriot air defense systems.

The package may also feature $400 million for the Presidential Drawdown Authority, which grants the Biden regime power to send Ukraine weapons straight from US military stockpiles. On top of that, drawdown package will likely be made up of mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles (MRAPs), guided multiple launch rocket systems (GMLRS), and other ammunition.

More military aid to Ukraine will not bring peace to this region. If anything, it will lead to the complete destruction of Ukraine as Russia has escalatory dominance and will likely win a war of attrition. To attain peace in Ukraine, a negotiated settlement must be reached by the two countries, which the Collective West could facilitate if its leaders gave up their fanatic anti-Russia foreign policy.
