Vice President Mike Pence Pays Lip Service to Vote Fraud Concerns After Fighting Gohmert Electoral College Lawsuit

By Shane Trejo

Vice President Mike Pence, feeling the heat from President Trump’s supporters, is beginning to pay lip service to vote fraud concerns shortly after opposing a lawsuit that would have compelled him to use his authority to reject dubious electors.

“Vice President Pence shares the concerns of millions of Americans about voter fraud and irregularities in the last election,” wrote Mark Short, Pence’s chief of staff, in a prepared statement.

“The Vice President welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people on January 6th,” the statement added.

Pence appears to be using political doublespeak in an attempt to get Trump supporters off of his back. Previously, Pence had joined with the Democrats to oppose a crucial election lawsuit championed by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) that was ultimately dismissed at the vice president’s behest.

Big League Politics reported on the stunning betrayal by Pence that shocked MAGA nation:

Vice President Mike Pence has asked a federal judge to toss a lawsuit that would compel him to reject dubious electors in battleground states rife with electoral fraud.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) filed the lawsuit with other strong conservatives to broaden Pence’s powers so he could be the last line of defense to stop the vote steal. Pence is doing everything in his power to abdicate his responsibility.

“A suit to establish that the Vice President has discretion over the count, filed against the Vice President, is a walking legal contradiction,” a Department of Justice lawyer representing Pence wrote in a filing.

With institutional power intent upon allowing the vote steal to take place, desperate Trump supporters have come to see Pence as their final lifeline. However, Pence’s history shows that he was never fully on board with the MAGA agenda…

Unfortunately for Trump supporters, it does not appear that Pence will be exercising his duty to stop electoral fraud. He seems to be another Benedict Arnold coward in a GOP chocked full of them.

Pence may ultimately be swayed by the mounting pressure as more lawmakers come out and support President Trump’s fight for electoral transparency.

Following the lead of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) rallied a group of senators to object to the certification of electoral votes next week:

If Pence does not ultimately use every tool at his disposal to overturn election fraud, he could be remembered among the many GOP Benedict Arnolds who exposed themselves at this crucial moment.
