Former Vice President Joe Biden has emerged as the front-runner for the Democrat presidential nomination, despite the fact that his mental faculties are rapidly waning at a frightening pace.
Biden has been largely silent during the coronavirus pandemic, but he finally came out of the shadows this week for a media junket as he attempts to criticize President Donald Trump for his response to the crisis. The results were not pretty, as Biden struggled to put basic thoughts together under light questioning.
On Sunday, Biden released a prepared statement in which he made mistakes while attempting to read words from a teleprompter.
Biden appeared on ABC’s “The View” on Monday where he said things about the coronavirus pandemic that made no sense.
“We have to take care of the cure. That will make the problem worse no matter what. No matter what. We know what has to be done,” Biden said, struggling to maintain coherency.
A snippet from Biden’s appearance on “The View” can be seen here:
He was even less lucid during an appearance on MSNBC as host Nicole Wallace attempted to act like nothing was wrong with Biden completely losing his train of thought.
“I tell you what. I’m so darn proud of those poor people who, of, lost, anyway,” Biden said while moaning in an exacerbated manner.
He was also embarrassed by CNN’s Jake Tapper for coughing in a way that would potentially spread germs after Biden mentioned he had not been tested for coronavirus.
Biden’s campaign is well aware of what a disaster their candidate is, which is why they cancelled his online press briefing scheduled for Tuesday. They claim it will take place on Wednesday instead.
Even though he cannot conjugate a sentence any longer, Biden’s campaign has done everything possible to politicize the coronavirus outbreak and attempt to use it as a wedge issue in order to score partisan points.
“My point is not simply that the president was wrong,” Biden mumbled in a speech given from his home in Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday. “My point is that the mindset that was slow to recognize the problem in the first place and to treat it with the seriousness it deserves, is still too much a part of how the president is addressing the problem.”
“We should be doing everything in our power to keep workers on payrolls, make small businesses healthy, help the economy come out on the other side strong,” Biden added. “The federal government should provide the resources to make that happen, while still protecting the American taxpayers. We can do both.”
While Biden criticizes President Trump, the public is overwhelmingly happy with the Commander-in-Chief’s coronavirus response. That does not bode well for Biden, whose diminishing mental faculties are not becoming of a national leader.
