WATCH: Bill Nye The So-Called Science Guy Says Fertilized Eggs Aren’t Human

By Tom Pappert

A video featuring former children’s show host and pretend scientist Bill Nye video has resurfaced on social media, this time angrily telling the audience that a fertilized egg is not human, and that abortion is about individual rights.

In a rambling, off script video, Nye told viewers that eggs are fertilized “a lot” and it should not be used as the standard for the beginning of life.

“If you say, ‘When an egg is fertilized, it therefor has the same rights as an individual,’ who are you going to sue? Whom are you going to imprison?” Nye asked, making the common leftist fallacy of assuming that pro-life Americans want to see women put in prison for something as heartbreaking as a miscarriage, even if it is only weeks into a pregnancy.

Nye went on to tell pro-lifers that they “literally, apparently literally don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He went on to argue that because scientists were responsible for using microscopes to see an egg fertilized by a sperm only the scientific and medical community is fit to have an opinion on abortion.

“You wouldn’t have that famous shot, or shots, where the sperm are bumping up against the egg, you wouldn’t have that without science,” said Nye. “Let me do that again, let me just pull back. It’s just, it’s hard not to get frustrated with this, everybody.”

Nye went on to add that “Nobody likes abortion, but you can’t tell somebody what to do.”

However, to those who logically consider abortion to be the murder of an unborn human being, it would seem apparent that this is what the government and society already does with laws against murder.

The so-called scientist, who only has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, concluded that he “would encourage you to not tell women what to do and not pursue these laws that really are in nobody’s best interest.”

“My mother was a woman, just for example. They’re everywhere.”

Apparently Nye does not appreciate that his mother chose life in this “example.”
