President Donald J. Trump is slated to nominate the next Justice to the Supreme Court of the United States at 9pm ET.

“I have long heard that the most important decision a U.S. President can make is the selection of a Supreme Court Justice – Will be announced tonight at 9:00 P.M.,” Trump said on Twitter.
There are four reported frontrunners.
Amy Coney Barratt, 46, is a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and formerly a law professor at Notre Dame Law School, from which she holds a Juris Doctor degree. She also holds a BA from Rhodes College. She was appointed to the Appeals Court by Trump.
United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Raymond Kethledge is also on the short list. He is 51 and received his undergraduate and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan. Big League Politics reported on Kethledge’s soft immigration stance Sunday. Kethledge was appointed to the Appeals Court by George W. Bush.
Thomas Michael Hardiman, another Bush appointment, is a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Hardiman, 51, was nominated to the appeals court by President George W. Bush. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law.
United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit Brett Kavanaugh rounds out the frontrunners. He was a Bush appointee who served as Staff Secretary in the Executive Office of the President of the United States under the 43rd President. Kavanaugh, 53, holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University, and a Juris Doctorate from Yale Law.
Three of the four reported top choices hold degrees from non-Ivy League law schools. There has never been a sitting Supreme Court Justice from a non-Ivy League law school.
