WATCH: Young Man’s Defiant Stand with Crucifix Against LGBT March Goes Viral

By Shane Trejo

A Polish teenager’s stand against an LGBT march in his town has caused him to become a viral sensation, with Christians throughout the world calling the young man a hero for his defiant stand.

15-year-old Jakub Baryła stood in the streets of Plock, Poland with a crucifix and would not budge despite being faced by law enforcement personnel. Eventually, he was removed as the police defended the march against non-violent protesters such as Baryła.

The display can be seen here:

“The idea of blocking the Equality March with a cross in hand was born when information about the organization of the parade in Płock appeared for the first time. Making a similar gesture to the gesture that Fr. Ignacy Skorupko during the Warsaw battle with the Bolsheviks in 1920 should give people something to think about and make them reflect,” he said.

Skorupka was a military chaplain of the Polish Army and martyr in the resistance against totalitarian communism. He died during the battle of Warsaw in 1920, with legend claiming he was on the front lines of the battle urging Polish soldiers to march forward with a crucifix in his hands.

The priest was afraid of the profanation of the Holy Cross by atheists, but he gave me a cross. I wanted as many people as possible to see my gesture. I wanted him to make him reflect and discuss,” Baryła said.

“First, I walked with a cross in my hand in front of the police cordon protecting the Equality March. Later I sat on the pavement and prayed in Latin with the words “Salve Regina”. I directed my prayer to the Mother of God, the ideal of purity. Policemen came to me and asked me to stand up. I said I couldn’t do it because the participants of the march are destroying my Catholic faith and profaning the Polish flag by placing a rainbow on it,” Baryła added, noting that the police who hauled him off treated him with dignity and “behaved impeccably.”

He hopes that his bold action inspires others to take a stand for what is right and just.

“I didn’t think about fear. I was focused on the cross I was holding. I am Catholic, so I focused on God who gives me strength. I have the impression that God was directing me,” he said.

Baryla has already been censored by Facebook, as the establishment censors the brave young man for pushing back against the LGBT agenda. Nevertheless, he has already become an international sensation as his protest has gone viral, serving as a desperately-needed inspiration for Christians throughout the world.
