A White House petition has been launched with the goal of having Antifa labelled a terrorist organization by the Department of Homeland Security.
After the devastating Antifa attack on Andy Nego, an independent journalist who sustained severe injuries including a brain hemorrhage while covering a violent protest in Portland, Oregon, threats from Antifa to attack the Demand Free Speech rally in Washington, D.C. with acid, and a newly surfaced video showing Antifa members chanting “Allahu akbar, smash these Nazi scum” in 2017, a petition has been launched to label Antifa a terrorist organization.
As President Trump’s first term comes to a close, Antifa organizations all around the nation have gotten even more violent and depraved. They have burnt down universities, attacked the elderly and even threatened acid attacks. Antifa continues to target their fellow citizens with acts of violence and intimidation in order to reach a desired political outcome. Recently, members of Antifa brutally assaulted an independent journalist, who remains hospitalized with a brain bleed after being viciously beaten and doused in liquid concrete.
Demand the White House and President Trump take direct action in labeling Antifa as a domestic terrorist group, full stop. Our nation’s security and homeland are at risk until we are able to clearly define Antifa as domestic terrorists.
End this madness.
The petition comes after a wave of Antifa violence and threats struck the nation this weekend. Enrique Tarrio, the co-organizer of the Demand Free Speech rally threatened with an acid attack, started the petition after the violent weekend.
“After the attack on Andy in Oregon, the threat of an acid attack against our Demand Free Speech rally, and years of violence, it’s time for the federal government to step in,” said Tarrio. “DHS must declare Antifa a terrorist organization.”
“We need President Trump’s support. We have to end the madness.”
President Donald Trump has previously referenced Antifa in 2017 and 2018, mocking the group for its physical weakness and violence.
On Saturday, Ngo was brutally beaten, attacked with milkshakes containing quick cement, and left with a swollen face and brain bleed.
“I just got beat up by the crowd,” Ngo said in Periscope video, with cuts and bruises on his face. “No police at all. In the middle of the street – and they stole my GoPro. And they punched me several times in my face and head. I’m bleeding.”
Milkshakes and other materials were also tossed on Ngo during the scuffle.
Finally, what appear to be paramedics showed up to ask Ngo if he was all right. He complained to them about the lack of police presence, but they shrugged off his complaints.
Also on Saturday, Big League Politics broke the story of the threat of an acid attack against the Demand Free Speech rally. The threats were made on a popular Telegram channel, where a user named “POUND ON YOUR BOY” described his plan to attack the rally with muriatic acid, wax, and balloons. According to Tarrio, the wax makes the attack particularly dangerous, as it could allow the wax and acid to form a film on an injured person’s skin and potentially lead to cardiac arrest. Tarrio says the FBI and DHS are investigating.
These latest events are only the latest to make headlines after years of violence and threats from Antifa. In 2017, a group of Antifa protesters was recorded on video chanting “Allahu akbar, smash these Nazi scum” as they walked through the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia.

At press time, only hours after the petition went live on the official White House petition site, it already has thousands of signatures.
