Nationalism in the Republican Party is on the rise! Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette, who Big League Politics has covered extensively since her ongoing rise in popularity during the race drew attention today after she remarked that she does not intend to support any ‘globalist’ candidates.
“I have no intentions of supporting globalists,” commented Barnette in an exclusive interview. The senate candidate’s answer was in response to a question by Breitbart’s Alex Marlow asking if she will support the GOP nominee regardless of “whoever it is.”
“I believe we have ran out of room on this runway for this spaceship,” explained Barnette. “I believe we have very little rope left to just roll the dice and we’ll see how it all works out on the other end. I believe our country is in trouble. I don’t believe we have much longer and I believe what I have done is I have made it possible where Pennsylvanians do not have to hold their nose and vote for the lesser of two evils this time. I don’t think we have room to just vote for any old warm body with an R next to their name. I think we can do better than that.”
Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle appeared to express dissatisfaction with the answer, arguing “Barnette refusing to support either Dr. Mehmet Oz or businessman David McCormick if one of them wins instead of her essentially means she would be helping a socialist Democrat win in the general election.”
Oz and McCormick alike have remained highly controversial candidates among many in the ‘MAGA’ movement, with numerous right-wingers noting that both candidates harbor pasts that indicate they may not be as “conservative” as they may suggest. Oz, for instance, has been a longtime advocate of nationally forced pro-abortion law; even leftist media outlets such as The Daily Beast have pointed out that Oz publicly remarked he was “really worried” about the overturning of Roe V. Wade in 2019.
“Is this really the way they want to spend their time?” Oz wondered about pro-life advocates during a 2019 interview with the Breakfast Club radio show. “There’s so much we gotta fix in the world.”
McCormick has also drawn ire from many conservative advocates, with many pointing out that the former Bridgewater Associates CEO has publicly supported ideologically woke “racial and ethnic justice” initiatives to make make the company an “anti-racist organization.” Such initiatives will at times involve partnerships with the World Economic Forum, an organization often noted for its ideological extremism. One example of many radical subjects pushed by the WEF includes ‘Environmental Social Governance,’ commonly abbreviated as ‘ESG.’
The Pennsylvania Senate race remains tight, with a recent Trafalgar poll putting Barnette with a slight lead on McCormick and a virtual tie with the Trump-endorsed Mehmet Oz.
