Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s ‘husband’ Chasten is doing a press junket, and he is attempting to garner sympathy as the ‘wife’ of sorts to the South Bend mayor turned sudden national contender.
Chasten told the Washington Post that he came from a conservative family in Michigan who struggled with realization of his homosexuality. They had felt Chasten’s lifestyle contradicted their strong Christian values.
Chasten described his childhood behavior as rather stereotypical. While his brothers were hunting, playing sports and dating girls, he was “inside reading Harry Potter or singing Celine Dion at the top of my lungs while my mom and I were dusting the cabinets.”
When Chasten came out of the closet to his family, they reacted with shock and disdain.
“I remember my mom crying and the first thing she asked me was if I was sick. I think she meant, like, did I have AIDS?” he said to the Post.
He felt shunned from his family, who did not want to believe the truth about his lifestyle, so Chasten left his family’s home for awhile essentially becoming a drifter for several months. His mother would later beg him to come back, and he happily obliged her requests.
“She said, ‘Will you come home?’” Buttigieg said. “And I cried and I went home immediately.”
Chasten’s parents would come to accept their son’s homosexuality, and even walked him down the aisle when he participated in a gay marriage ceremony with his husband Pete.
However, his brothers never grew to accept Chasten’s homosexuality. Being devout Christians, they refused to accept his sinful lifestyle and simply “never got over it.”
“I just don’t support the gay lifestyle,” said Chasten’s brother Rhyan Glezman, who serves as the pastor of a church in rural Mich.
Chasten has become the new corporate face of the LGBT agenda, being paraded around as the side piece to his lover Pete as he works his way up the polls.
By openly flouting Christian values and engaging in public displays glorifying homosexuality, Chasten’s husband has become an immediately darling of the mainstream media and the Democratic Party.
Although some homosexuals feel he is not gay enough, Buttigieg and his lover are certainly mainstreaming this lifestyle even further by pushing it in the public eye as conservative and respectable.
The results could be devastating for society.
