Target Holds ‘Emergency’ Meetings About Satanist Pride Clothing Line As Company Fears Growing Outrage, Calls For Boycotts From Conservatives

By Bo Banks

Target is in the hot seat yet again after the retailer teamed up with a self-proclaimed Satanist to design Pride clothing aimed at children as young as babies.

After the news first broke, conservatives called for boycotts as expected. Hoping to make a strong enough impact to Target’s revenue like they did with Bud Light.

The looming question, however, was whether conservatives could stay focused long enough to actually deal a sizable blow to Target. Especially considering swapping Bud Light for another beer is far easier for consumers than switching retailers entirely.

Apparently Target execs are nervous, meanwhile, because last week, the company held “emergency” meetings over LGBTQ merchandise in Southern stores.

From The New York Post:

Some Southern Target stores were forced by the corporation to move LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of their locations after customer “outrage” to avoid a “Bud Light situation.”

Many Target locations across the country feature massive June Pride month displays on an annual basis, with items this year ranging from “tuck friendly” bathing suits for transgender people to mugs that say “gender fluid.”

But the retail juggernaut has been criticized by some conservatives for the displays, with children’s items particularly irking many customers.

The outlet went on to state that “emergency” calls told some managers and district senior directors to “tamp down” Pride sections “immediately,” per a company insider.

In other words, the conservative boycott against Bud Light has sent shockwaves to woke companies because it showcased just how impactful they can be when conservatives organize and stay vigilant when ditching a brand.

Now Target is sounding the alarm bells. Even though its CEO is still defending “woke capitalism.” Saying it’s “the right thing for society.”

Here are some examples for why Target is currently on the chopping block:

Target is clearly paying close attention to the political landscape heading into Pride month. With some decision makers already looking to shift away from the company’s LGBTQ focus as more conservative backlash ramps up.

Only time will tell how impactful a June boycott would be to Target’s bottom line. Conservatives need to keep up the pressure.
